Get some exhaust packing stuff from your local Halfords, I forget its name (presuming you're meaning there's a leak between the link pipe and cut bit of your headers). Alternatively, cut up a can of pop and use the aluminium to pack it out.

I'm sure your local Halfords will have some. Can't remember what it costs. A couple of quid or something like that.

cheers mate.. is it just a case of filling in the gap and letting it set?
can a gap make you loose a little power? |

This morning I decided to have a proper look, and I found by twisting the link pipe and end can, there is a correct position that allows all 3 parts to line up correctly and no gaps. Took at bit of experimenting, and I did smear a thin film of Holts exhaust paste on the link pipe to downpipe joint, before final assemble, but now leak free. Mike |

I'd take it apart. Apply it over the female part then put it back together. Before tightening up the clamp fill the gap you can see. Tighten the clamp and then wait for it to set. Don't bother running the engine before it's set otherwise the pressure will just blow a hole through the sealant.
