Testing a smart-phone biker application interface
(Originally posted in Bikes - Talk & Issues)
I'm doing a module for my MSc at the moment that involves producing a prototype interface and getting people to try it out. Mine is based on a smart-phone application for social motorcycling, e.g. planning social rides. I would be very grateful if anyone would take the time to try out the interface and answer some questions. It's all done online, you just need to download some files, follow some instructions and answer some questions. The prototype interfaces are in PowerPoint, so you need a computer that can open PowerPoint files. If you'd like to help, please follow this link where it's all explained. Thanks! |

Complete. Not a fan of having to know the names of groups and places in order to find them. Not sure of the benefits over arranging ride outs on this forum.

Re: Testing a smart-phone biker application interface
So depending on how much you intend on developing it:-
i) a way of bringing up a list of rider groups and meets to browse through via scrolling. ii) Maybe some sort of commenting side to it so you can develop some community spirit. |

Re: Testing a smart-phone biker application interface
I think this would be ace, just needs to be setup for multiple phone os's and allow people to edit each others routes untill a set date.
then you could integrate to a satnav for all members of the ride to know the route should they get lost, and allow joining part way through the route as well. |

Re: Testing a smart-phone biker application interface
good concept, if it could allow for rides to be sync'd as calender events that would be good as you'd be able to invite people along.
