Re: Speed with Guy Martin CH4 now!
JUst seen the last one... have decided I need to take up learning French properly to really get mission Guy Martin on the roll...not bitter, not bitter at all
Aye, tis a shame they couldn't have strung it out to double the number of episodes, would have been great to see more of the actual production, particularly the Pykes Peak one. Gorgeous engine and didn't get to see it for long at all, that turbo fitting was sweet! |

Re: Speed with Guy Martin CH4 now!
I didn't get the effort in the push training. On the event they barely seem to push.

Speed with Guy Martin CH4 now!
Just finished watching the kart one, brilliant!
Although I can't help but think they could have done better...? The design they showed had fins and wings extending out towards the wheels. Does anyone with a better aero background think that would have made a difference? Also not sure if it would work at those "low" speeds but maybe some aero for downforce perhaps, would that help with top speed? Gotta love the closing sentence from him though! Haha

Stability was their main issue, I don't think downforce would be necessary (after all, our motorbikes can do nearly double that speed without issue). I'd guess most of that was due to lots of flex in those wheels, wrong tyre design for a 4 wheeled vehicle and possibly suspension design. They seem to be allowing some room for being beaten in all these challenges. Not sure if that's deliberate though. |
