Sorry should have typed that clearer.

Hasting renewal - £204 full comp. With a £150 compulsory excess. £0 voluntary.
Bennetts - £120 full comp. With a £400 compulsory excess. £0 voluntary.

I tick all the boxes, including breakdown etc.

I'm 40, and 18 months ago had to deal with Bennetts. All documented on here.

Lets just say I really didn't feel like going with them again. Even saving £80.00 quid.
Or having a spill and actually being £250 poorer.

I don't have breakdown but my excess is £200.

I dropped it on black Ice at the end of November and didn't claim as it would cost about the same to repair as the excess cost.

It's always worth phoning. Hastings twice offered me increased premiums for a year's no-claims riding. Both times I phoned with other insurer's quotes and both times they gave me an acceptable reduction over the phone. They'll come down a few quid not to lose you.

If you ride older stuff (+ 25 years) Carole Nash is worth a look.
Just reinsured my VF range (7 bikes) for £189 a year. That includes european recovery and i can ride other bikes if they are comprehensively insured.
Not too many more years and Curvys will fall into that bracket.

I got my renewal through last month from Wicked Quotes.
Last year I was paying £200 with 1yr NCB, this year they quoted me £150 which was a good £20 cheaper than any other company could come in at as well.

Happy with that just a quick call to pay it for the year and job done, not sure I'll get that lucky again come next years renewal though.

I decided to go with Bennets and got fully comp for £101 pounds even with no no claims bonus. My old,"Classic" insurance with Carol Nash did not accrue NCB so had to start from scratch.

I like breakdown recovery and my car one had just run out so got a great deal covering me for any vehicle I'm in off Startescue

https://www.startrescue.co.uk/breakd...er/quick-quote

and checked that the bike was covered as well as the car.
Was £58 but got it down to around £48 with a promo code.

So that'ff do for this year

I was only interested in UK breakdown cover.I doubt I'll be riding in Europe(But I do work there often) but if I do I'd just pay extra when needed.

£48 ish to cover me in the UK for all my vehicles is a good deal IMHO.I've even installed their app on my Android phone.Less than a quid a week for peace-of-mind
