Default Help-alternator needed!

Does any body have an alternator for a 2000 curvey, or another solution?

I'll be breaking a 99 curvy engine at the weekend if you can wait 'till then?

Yeah that might be good. I broke down whilst away, but charged up the battery and risked the 300 mile journey back home, which I made. So it will give me time to check out all the wiring, just in case its a black wire.

I'm working the weekend trying to clear some space to bring the bike inside, very irritating - earning a living always gets in the way of you really want to do! Consequently, I haven't yet had the chance to strip it down. Do you have a price for the alternator?

no problem. It looks like it'll be next weekend by the time I get it off anyway.

There are two on Ebay. One £60 and one £50 so how about £40 including shipping?

Hi C
I've just cleared the workshop and brought the bike in. Having measured the unregulated alternator, I'm getting 97V AC across each of the wires at 5000rpm, which according to the manual is plenty. Therefore I think that the problem is the regulator/rectifier since that is the only other component in the charging system, and I get no voltage difference at any rpm. Do you agree, and do you have one?
