Well, keep me posted on your thoughts, I'm in my two minds right now....if I were to want to do it I would sooner go green laning with another novice than anyone else....it would just be for a laugh to be honest and not to be taken seriously at all!

That's the issue I had - they were by no means novices and it was a proper baptism of fire for a nervous novice! Fun but daunting at the same time... I would much rather have covered less ground and taken it steadier. Also for the lanes around here you need a 250 tops - my DRZ was too big really... One of the chaps had a Serow and that was perfect...

Mmmmm, need a third bike then, something old and refurbished maybe so I know it well for when I break it....a 250 won't be good for other roles I would need it for that's for sure next year at the earliest I think...

Forecast for strong winds up to 50mph tonight/early hours. Make sure your bike is safe if outside!

Couldn't get over 45mph on my 125 on the way home last night (against the stop nearly all the way!) so brought the cage in today and I am glad I did - jeez its windy out there!

Well things are pretty organised these days, i doubt much got done today, but most hauliers would have been told not to bring any containers to the port.

could have been a few empties flying about in the gusts

Fitted a -2t sprocket on the GS at the weekend hoping for 50mph cruising - it does... just... but only if I am against the stop as its slightly too overgeared... Took the risk on the -2 instead of -1 but think it was a step too far. The optimist in me was hoping for a potential 70mph with a bit of gravity and wind assistance! lol Top speed is actually slightly slower than before lol
