Re: Tottenham Riots
I agreed with your post too but remained silent about it in an attempt to prevent an enflamed ego but now I know you find it disturbing i'll let the praise loose

I love the comment at the end "Meanwhile, likely Labour candidate for mayor Ken Livingstone said the riots started because Norman Tebbit has been going round Tottenham whipping little black babies with his belt and spiking everyone's Tizer with anabolic steroids." |

Re: Tottenham Riots
Meanwhile watching a video from a Sky news reporter who confronted a couple of looters, and asked them why they were doing this?
They said 'we're getting our taxes back' Com'on , I doubt these pair were even old enough to pay tax

Re: Tottenham Riots
Word from our Swindon office is there might be stuff kicking off there too.
Also, that Sky reporter was a plonker, he'd ask if they were proud of what they were doing and then had to say they tried to kill him and he had to run away. |

Re: Tottenham Riots
I know it is a bit early to be looking back at lessons learned from this but let's make a start.
Be prepared. Have proper kit avilable for rapid deployment. Water canon, plenty of riot gear, tear gas and, as a last resort, baton rounds. Fight fire with fire. Allow the police to repel and if necessary retaliate with equal force with impunity. PUNISHMENT! Round up the perps and make their lives sheer unmitigated hell. Harsh living conditions, subsistence rations, hard labour, chain gangs, public and humiliating work in highly visible places. Deliberately ignored someone's human right? Kiss your own goodbye. Repayment. As part of point above make the perps work for the people they have devastated. You broke it you mend it or work off your debt, to individuals and to society. None of this will ever happen of course because all politicians are too soft and the damned EU would not let us. But if we're all honest most of us want the above points to be reality... The scum know they are almost untouchable and even if they are caught will get minimal punishment if any. It really is time the balance moved the other way!
