Where to live around Shrewsbury?

G'day all,

Just wondering if anyone could give any advice on where abouts to live/not to live around shrewsbury?

Got a new job there and am looking for somewhere i can park my SV and hopefully it'll still be there in the morning!

S'bury is a fantastic place to live. The north side of town's a bit rough, best avoided. Depends what sort of place you're looking for...

I live in Meole Brace, on south side. DarylB lives in Longden, 10 mins down the road. Admin lives in Bayston Hill, on the other side of the A5. All nice places. PM me, happy to advise/show round.

Anyways, i thunk i'll be looking for a sub 400 pound a month place, maybe flat-share? Somewhere that my bike won't get nicked - yeah i know, i can hear you already - a bike will get nicked anywhere right? But i'd love to be 'out in the sticks' with peace and quiet so i can sleep well at night and then wake everyone up in the morning when i'm out on one of my rides... Don't tell me you can't admit to that eh...!? Haha.

Bicton Heath/Gains Park is an OK area, not rough, and I wouldn't associate it with bike theft. You should be able to find something there for that price.

You can always park your bike in my garage for a while if you need to, I'm in Meole Brace.

Heey Hey, got a place on London Rd, right opposite the shrewsbury college... even has a garage (sort of) so that i can poslish my bike indoors... Look out shrewsbury chicks!
