Can't refit standard exhaust! - SV650.org

Tried to refit standard exhaust today without success. I can get everything in place but the link pipe is somehow not right.

I see how it works, with the two collars to push a bot through and tighten, but the threaded part is blocked! I thought maybe it's a sheared bolt, but both are identical. See pics!

I must be missing something here. How is it meant to clamp onto the pipe if you can't get bolts in?

I think you're unlucky and BOTH have got a sheared bolt in them!

I think the above is true - they're both full of broken bolt, the upper picture certainly seems to show the vestiges of thread in the welded on collar.

It's not hard to redeem this, just drill straight through both and use a nut and bolt instead.
