Lightning LS-218
LS-218 electric motorcycle. Yes, I know it costs $39,000 and I know it will only do 160-180 miles (with extra power pack), I'd still like to ride one.

Re: Lightning LS-218
That looks like fun. 218 mph!!
I could live with 160 - 180 miles range. I'm sure I'd be dead before I got that far. |

Re: Lightning LS-218
Hmmm. Interesting to say the least. Won't be too long I'm sure before all the manufacturers will be hinting at electric models coming along the development path.

Re: Lightning LS-218
This. My company car is a BMW225 and even though the electric motor (which drives the rear wheels) only puts out 120ft-lb of torque, it's available instantly from zero rpm. You can get amusing wheelspin with the traction control off.
