Default 6th June. Buxton Chippy Run 2.

It was decided by the Committee (thanks peeps ) to run the Buxton Chippy run once again. I am going to focus this one on more of an introduction to run outs for anybody that hasn't been on one yet.
It wont be too fast, or too long, the same as last year really, with some lovely views around Derbyshire & Staffordshire.
I am going to ride a route this weekend, probably changing the meeting place to Northwich, which is easier for people to get to than Sandbach.

So, set the date for Sunday 6th June, hope the weather is good & I will post up the route on Sunday

I'll be tempted to invade your get together for some chip.

How come your planning Buxton as opposed to Matlock which is only a bit further but has better chips and more to see

With it being aimd at the newer riders to the forum... this area will be quieter i suppect and .... well that cant hurt on a newbie ride out i wouldnt think.

It will be a nice short ride of about 90 miles, like Dave says, nice easy bimble.
Last year most were home for about 2pm, so could spend a bit of time doing other things if need be.
We will be taking in Rudyard Lake, The Cat & Fiddle, Buxton & maybe J&S Accessories.
Mike, I was trying to be diplomatic lol.

Wow what an excellent suggestion! i`ll be there and it`d be a great opportunity for all the recent newcomers to the Border Patrol to meet everyone and get an idea of what a group rideout is like. As Col says there`s no pressure to go fast and keep up, you ride at a pace you`re comfortable with and nobody will be left on their own.

Did the recce today with Brettus (thanks for the company ) Got lost on a couple of occasions & need to sort out another route past Macclesfield, there are too many roundabouts in too short a space. I will work on it & see what I come up with. Good to see a bloke with a death wish on the RC8 KTM up & down the Cat & Fiddle, jeez he was quick (sod the 50 mph limit eh mate?), but it only takes one wrong move
Found some really nice places & it was nice to end up in the midst of a Charity Motorcycle run through Leek & miss the flaming turning for Stoke. lol
Sorry Missus Brettus for keeping him out so long, wont happen again

Sign of a good ride out lol

At the Cat & Fiddle
