Swing arm bearings
Any one know what size the needle roller bearings are in the swing arm of a k5?
I've got quite a bit of lateral play in the swing arm and the bike 'tracks' over the white lines. Wemoto say they are selling the kit but only show the bearings, not the bushes and at 45 pound, a little expensive. http://www.wemoto.com/bikes/Suzuki/S...t_Bearing_Kit/ I would like to keep the bike on the road untill I get the bearings, so sizes would help me source some from my usual bearing suppilier if anyone could help. |

Re: Swing arm bearings
Try ron ayers or alpha sports, can't remember which, one of the parts manuals sometimes puts bearing sizes on along with the part numbers.

Re: Swing arm bearings
From the French microfiche -
Bearing, Pivot ( 25x33x30 ) @ 23.15 euros for K2 so ignore K5 is ( 25z33z35 ) @ 29.54 From previous threads, are you sure that lateral play is down to the bearing & not adjustment of the pivot ends?

Re: Swing arm bearings
I did re torque everything a couple of weeks back and could not reduce the play.
I would need to strip it down for a full investigation, but thought it would be nice to get hold of some new bearings before that and replace the bearings anyway. And thanks for the info |

Re: Swing arm bearings
DavieSV: Have you already checked what is behind your lateral play (I understand you mean gap sideways)?
Also I thought that my bike has worn bearings but that wasn’t the issue. Those spacers (2 x bearing and center) there attached each other so that they allow huge lateral gap to swing arm. There is my thread in this site if you want to check it. I am very interested to know if it happens that you have same problem than I. Local Suzuki service said that there should not be any gap after 15Nm torqued shaft. But they couldn’t give any instructions what to do. |
