All my Suzukis have required a clutch pull to start. My last BMW did not. Some of my Hondas have. It can also be wired around easily, timwilky perhaps the PO of your bike did this.

No PO bought new GSX-S does not need clutch pulled in. Surprised given it is Suzuki

neither does the new SV. i think none of the new Suzuki need the clutch pulled in. but i think that the bike needs to be in neutral unlike with a clutch safety the bike can be in gear.

Don't need to pull in clutch on AL7 to start it, except if in gear ...
