I know this isn't a brilliant photo, but it's something I've never seen before.
Tonight, there was a spectacular sunset and I took a few photo's from the back of the house that faces West. Then, I looked out of the front window (East) and saw a rainbow in the clouds in the East! This photo is facing due EAST!  Sunset Rainbow by valandpetephillips, on FlickrI appreciate it's not a glaringly bright rainbow, but it's defiantly there and it wasn't raining! Pete

Doesn't nessacelery have to be raining where you are but it deffo has to be somewhere between you, the sun and the rainbow.

After the sunset the North West had yesterday, I had my eyes on the skies for a repeat performance. It looked good, so I pootled up to Winter Hill above Bolton. These are a few photos of what I saw. I'm not often moved to silence or put in awe of things, but tonight...
  This panorama is worth looking at as large as you can. The sunlight up the valley was sublime.
