Had to do this for the SV recently as MOT ran out in Feb but wasn't done with winter jobs so didn't get it MOT'd until April, only as tax needed to be done doesn't look like it will be getting any real use anytime soon

5 weeks and no V5. Looks like the seller messed up the online transfer, mixed up paperwork and then lost (threw away?) the appropriate bits. So I now have to go the V62 route. Have to allow another 6 weeks and they may not actually do it at the moment at all unless it’s for an HGV due to staff shortages/ covid etc.

Is he paying for the replacement? Difficult on a private sale but if he should really.

Go with the green slip and tax it at post office and then you shouldn't have to pay

I had to send the green slip with the V62 so can't tax it at a Post Office.
Seller isn't paying for a replacement. Hopefully I don't have to pay as I sent the green slip with the application.
