Default Wurring Clutch Noise - Help needed

Hi All

After sorting out my bike falling over mishaps, I've not been out for a while. When I took it out at the weekend everytime I released the clutch there was a whirring noise - pull the clutch in - noise stops, release clutch and whiring starts again. It gets louder as I speed up - any ideas???

Andy

Both mine have done that from new, not saying it's right, but they were both new bikes.

Ahh fair enough - just haven't noticed it before - have heard the fuel system going, but not from the clutch area - must just be me not riding for a few weeks and forgetting the noises D'oh

Thanks for quick responses to put my mind at rest

Have you ever heard a Ducati dry clutch? its the same thing but the noise is muffled by the oil and covers on the sv.

Welcome

They all do it, possibly more as the clutch mechanism wears. The problem is that having a look generally causes more trouble than it solves as the clutch covers don't always seal up again.
