I reckon the essentials are:
- Drinks, mostly water
- Snacks to keep your energy up over the day & so you don't go off and eat a big lunch and fall asleep on the next session
- Tools to remove mirrors/fuses (so you don't melt tape onto your lights)
- Tape for lights

There should be a sticky in this section with lists of hints and tips or things to do and not do aswell as things to take on a track day.

This one maybe? http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=127659

Dont forget that the tap-water in the garages was perfectly drinkable - one 500ml bottle to drink out of, then refilled for free worked for me.

Dont forget that if you keep it smooth and ride to the conditions, any wet weather you get should NOT affect you that much.

Glad you had a good day, and it stayed dry for you, just.

Mate, your inches away from a knee down there. Looks damn good, and a dry day too. What more could you have wished for?

It did rain a bit, sort of light drizzle for a couple of laps, then got heavier just as I was going into Clearways, but I spotted some blue sky out of the corner of my eye and decided not to pull in but to carry on - glad I did.

Much - Much quicker than last time. Adrenaline is only just wearing off now.

Was there a knee down this time mate? You do look much more off the bike, as mentioned earlier. You could try to move your upper body off a bit as well - it'll correct your position a little bit (so your spine is still parallel to the bike rather than at an angle) and might help you with the knee down ambition
