Like summer with the electric gear on.
The bike seemed anxious to go as well, I had to keep slowing her down.
Excellent day and a pleasant reminder of everything I love about riding motorbikes.
Brilliant to read this Bill. Sounds like the perfect tonic after the last few months.

Christmas shopping completed, five books bought for various members of the family and all very relaxed. Now sat with a coffee and cake in the bookshop café. Home to wrap the presents next and we're sorted.

You were always a light weight, room for improvement.

On a serious note I had my sister and 2 brothers in law die from the drink. When you have whisky and lemonade with your cornflakes like my sister did then you're in proper trouble.

In our lot there was a serious drinking culture, I'd sometimes come into work on an early shift to see the night shift officer having a brandy and milk before he was driven home. Strangely enough a lot of that generation survived quite long into their retirement, and some gave up booze as soon as they retired. Either they were pickled from the inside or less stressed.

Anyway cooked the sausage rolls, and had a glass and a half of red wine, so feeling comfortable, especially after a bowl of mussels with baguettes, as a light tea.

Me also.

Just finished clearing up after last nights gathering of family and friends. Mrs LOM still in bed, so time for a chill.

It ought to be illegal to grow conifers in residential gardens, at least with deciduous trees the light can get through in winter - but then again our neighbour planted trees along our southern boundary and put our satellite dish out of commission and also ruined our lawn because of lack of light. I would love to cut them down but apparently you do not have ' a right to light ' or to satellite / terrestrial signals in England ( don't know about Scotland )
