Cloud cover satellite images
Prior to riding I tend to check the rain radar and also the visible light satellite images which shows cloud cover. The one I use has recently revamped its page:
https://www.sat24.com/en-gb/country/gb It now gives a few more options including the ability to display radar and cloud cover combined.

Re: Cloud cover satellite images
Useful. I've found a new use for weather forecasts at this time of year since having the solar and battery installed.... deciding if my house battery needs to be charged overnight or to rely on the solar panels. I keep the battery charged in case of power cuts. The cloud cover forecast is very helpful.
