rear caliper joining bolts ruined
This is so frustrating, after getting all the fairings off and front brakes to be cleaned and serviced, without incident.
WHY do the last 2 bolts have to be such gits to remove?! Anyway i've had a look on the forum but could someone please confirm that these bolts are safe to use so i can put my rear brake back together. They seem right but the top doesn't seem as thick as the originals. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/STAINLESS-...#ht_500wt_1180 Thanks guys |

Re: rear caliper joining bolts ruined
Yep they'll work.
I'd swap them for standard heads as it'll be easier to strip the next time. Just get them from the firm selling the ones you've posted HTH

Re: rear caliper joining bolts ruined
The smallest head they do is 14mm, that seems a bit big. I'm going to see if I can get it with a smaller head. Thanks for reply.

Re: rear caliper joining bolts ruined
The same caliper was originally with 14mm headed bolts. The GSX and earlier GSXR models has such fittings.

Re: rear caliper joining bolts ruined
The 14mm heads fine, it doesnt cause any issues.

Re: rear caliper joining bolts ruined
Thanks, i'm ordering them today. Hopefully have the rear caliper back on soon. Then it's on to fitting new lines and clip-ons.
