Idle Banter For non SV and non bike related chat (and the odd bit of humour - but if any post isn't suitable it'll get deleted real quick). There's also a "U" rating so please respect this. Newbies can also say "hello" here too. |

Curious!
Been lurking and contributing now for several months, never really introduced myself!
Anyway just curious about something! I love the forum and the fact that I have met people who are (as my wife puts it) as anal about bikes as I am! So I was wondering, what is it that people tune in here for? For me it's about camaraderie, having a laugh, being forced to think once in a while and generally having fun. I'd love to know your excuses By the way my intro is......I'm 35, married, been riding (legally) for 6 years, sold the ZX6R for an SV (out of the 10 bikes I've had in the past 6 years my wife thinks it's the sane option), nurse specialist, father of 1 four month old son and lover of the forum. Thanks folks......... |

the help & advice is top im newish to to road bikes & computers so some of my questions must seem stupid but the help i have recived is simply 2nd to none..
everyone is freindy & willing to help......the freindly banter is great(i got banned from trails uk forum for my simply telling some one they should not have bought a gas gas pro cos they are crap) you can say what you want here(with in reason) & then when you meat the peeps in real life they are twice as cool any thats my opinion i am a member of a few other forums..but this is the best...95% of my forum time is spent here i will stay loyal to the org..until i get banned....then i will join in another name |

LOL I'm here becasue firstly, I wanted an SV and these guys helped me out alot, telling me what to look out for, what to avoid, what I should be paying. I continued to stay because I found the people on here gave me good advice for whatever reason, and are genrally 1,000,000,000 times more welcoming and freindly than most people on the MCN forums - I've never even been bullied for owning a scooter! There are no fights here (well, I've never seen any) and everyone respects each other (within reason ). I brought my SV of a guy who used to post here (I guess he dosnt anymore!) so since I'm an SV owner, I'll stick around for longer. However, the jokes are really bad SO thats a downside. Come hovi5, find some decent ones!!!!!! So yea, bloody good forum Matt |
