Your front brake discs can be repaired. Stealth products make replacement rivets (or bobbins as some people call them) which come with the wavey spring washers and a circlip to retain them. I have got a set of 12 (i.e. enough for both front discs - if my experience is anything to go by the other disc will go soon). You need to grind the head off the original rivets to remove them. I have changed wheels and discs so dont need them. This is the copy of the email from stealth:
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ENQUIRY. WE CAN SUPPLY NEW BOBBINS, RIVETS & CLIPS FOR YOUR BIKE - THEY ARE £2.99 EACH PLUS £6.95 P&P. STEALTH PRODUCTS. So I paid £42.83 inc P&P in total. As I no longer need these Make me a reasonable offer and they are yours. |
