I'm sure a few of the more *ahem* experienced members could tell you how to go about hot wiring it but not exactly a long term solution is it?

How the hell did you loose both sets tho??

I think Suzuki can make you a new key from the frame number? Though how much it costs and how long it takes I don't know. Suppose I should get another set cut, I've lost one... (I lost a set found it again a month later and lost the other set the next day...)

No, that's right - Suzuki cannot supply keys from a frame number.

However, if you have the original handbook that came with the bike, there is a spot in it in which to write the key number, with a bit of luck the original owner will have done so, and with a bit more luck you've actually got the book.

Failing that, if you remove the lock from the bike and take it to a locksmith, (such as Keys Galore in Gloucester Avenue NW1), they may well be able to either extract some ID from it or possibly cut you a key to fit.

Fingers crossed.

have you tried borrowing a decent metal detector no no it's not a joke. I lost a key between my front door and the car some 15 yards accross an open grass area.

had about 10 kids and 5 adults look for it one night the grass was fairly short . nobody could find it after an extensive search. a neighbours friend has a metal detector, i borrowed it and found it in less than 10 mins.

if grass in on your route i strongly advise you to have a go with one. i would not have believed we didn't see it
