Default sore seat!

I have a new 2019 sv650 basic model not the cafe racer.

Like many reviewers have said, the seat is like a sack of rocks after an hour.

Does anyone know a good replacement seat that will fit this model?

Thanks

Get someone like Tony Archer or Saxon Seats to insert a gel pad and/or more foam

Cheap quick fix

No probs, I had the same problems with my curvy seat, couldn't do more than 30 miles without extreme pain.

C-racer do a range of farkles for the current model SV, including a seat available in two colour options.
It looks much flatter and more padded than the original.
Unfortunately it has stitching therefore (like all stitched seats) it isn't waterproof.

It's a feature (but we're not sure what of). It might be character building?

How much money do you have?
Corbin (£600 +) https://www.corbin-europe.com/
Holeshot - Corbin http://www.holeshot.com/suzuki/sv/20...etfighter-seat (you'd have to import it yourself).

Get your own seat recovered, there are several places that do this, I used one in Lincoln since it's local to me: http://edblade.simpl.com/
cost about £140 3 years ago.
I wouldn't recommend the Suzuki Tuck and Roll seat, by all accounts it offers little improvement over stock.

My experience with local seat places:

- I had Viking Motorcycle Seats in Kent rework the stock one for my old SV (2005). I didn't find it any better and it was so much taller I needed to fit risers.
- I inherited one from another company in Coventry http://www.cmseats.co.uk/ for the 2016 SV. This was a cover and padding. It looked good but I noticed no difference and sold it on.

I'm sure it can work, but you need to know what you want. Do you actually want it firmer or softer. If you think you want it softer, it may be that's because it is actually too soft already and you are sitting on the pan. Also where do you sit, at the front, middle, or back of the seat. You may find that if they plan for this, you can't then move around as well.

From what I have read, the new SV seat is difficult to work with because of the shape of the pan. But you want one that doesn't tip you forward as much.

The stock shape and padding is awful. Such a seemingly minor thing when buying can ruin the whole bike.

This is the seat that Core did for me:

After 3 years and almost 25,000 miles I would do it differently next time. Is it better than stock? Definitely, I only lasted about 300 miles on the original and it would be painful to sit on any chair after a short ride.
