Default End of the Euro..............

So here we go again!!

Its Italy's turn. I wondered when they'd start talking about their problems too.

Who wants to bet on whos next, and how long the Euro will last?

Discuss.

Looks like it.The sooner the better I think before we all end up just pouring good money after bad in a King Cunute tribute show.
It is becoming increasingly obvious that the whole EU thing is exposed as a virtual dictatorship of the major European power brokers.
Think about it.Without looking it up who can name their Euro MP or the elected heads of any European parliament offices?Or the President.Or their Euro comissioner?
Its not a democratic organisation and never will be.

errr dunnooo lol

I'd like to know, if Italys problems could be bad for the 'worlds economy'......then what happens when they all fall like dominoes? Money as we know it expires? After all, every currency and economy is intertwined somehow.

We had another call at work today around what is commonly known as the PIIGS.

it is likely to be, if anyone, Portugal, Ireland, Italy, Greece (as we know) or Spain. These are all countries which are bandied together in the industry as at risk of default on soverign debt.

My money will be on Portugal. Think Italy, Spain have a high enough GDP to cope (just about) and Ireland will not be allowed to go under.

It's going to topple sooner or later, the sadist in me wants us to just pull out now and take the hit rather than wasting more money trying to save us from what seems inevitable.

Or I could be completely wrong... I'm not ergonomist ( )

If the Euro does fail, what will happen to our trade? The eurozone is the biggest market, to which the UK sells to. Not to mention the amount of money the UK banks have lent, to these countries what happens if the loan payments can't be made?

Its not looking good is it?

Trade would carry on,just have to use different money to pay for it.That after a period of reorganisation which would certainly be "bumpy"for a while.
Perhaps we could learn to pay for goods up front or at least on delivery so as to avoid the need for all this credit which is destroying confidence.

All the euro has done is cause prices in tourist countries to rocket so we end up not going as much and spending less, it also encourages poorer member countries to spend beyond their means.

We need to get that wall round all the coast before it's too late
