Sealskinz socks

I have a pair of waterproof boots but they are nowhere near as comfortable as my Alpinestars SMX4s which are great off the bike for walking about in. So for trips I'm thinking waterproof socks might be the answer.

Anyone own Sealskinz? Or another brand?

My feet are size 3 so usually I have to buy children's socks so don't want anything too bulky.

Bought a set years ago during a week trip that reasoned throughout and showed my waterproof boots weren't.

It still leaves you with wet boots which isn't great for them but your feet stay nice and dry even several years down the line and they've been through the washing machine a few times. Also handy in a wet field in trainers. Not worn them every day but I reckon they'd keep watertight for a useful length of time.

They are brilliant.
Great for walking the dogs, paintball and on the bike.
Had some in go outdoors last year but we're 7's

That's what I'm thinking, chuck them in the topbox and if it starts raining I'll put them on along with my waterproofs rather than having to wear less comfortable boots all week on the off chance of rain or having to take 2 pairs away.

You can getrubber over boots too.
But they are a headache to get on (well the ones I have). And on a ride from witham to Watford in the rain they are not as in control as proper boots.

Yup, they're the only ones to get. You can walk around in Crocs and your feet will still stay warm & dry.

You can find camo coloured ones on Ebay, which are military issue ones, they're usually a bit cheaper, plus they got to knee length, which I think gives you a bit more waterproof protection when wearing calf length boots

Just stick your feet in a couple of Waitrose carrier bags, then put your boots on.

I found them in Evans Cycles for £15, so ordered a pair. I can use them for walking too as my trainers are fairly waterproof unless I tread in a big puddle.

I like the assumption I'm a Waitrose shopper, not Asda, though yesterday my Waitrose bag wasn't up to the job and split halfway back to the car. It was nearly a ciabatta and goat's cheese with beetroot ravioli disaster.
