Default OMO - Ebay advice sought

I know some of you have regular dealings with Ebay so, can I ask for some advice regarding an item that the seller stated must be collected in person:-

1. I 'won' an item yesterday afternoon (Ice Skates) & paid for them immediately (all of £5.00) by PayPal

2. I contacted the seller asking for an address and if it would be convenient for me to pick the item up today - No reply

3. 2nd email sent this morning as per (2) - No reply

Am I being unreasonable in expecting a prompt response?

Part of me is thinking that she may be waiting until I pursue the issue through Ebay so she can offer to return my £5 - as this is a LOT less than other skates have fetched - even thoug she obviously limited her target buyers by insisting on collection - handy for me though as she's only a few miles up the road

Any thoughts or advice will be gratefully received.

The only course I think you can pursue is report the seller through the resolution center, but all that means is you'll get your money back.

I had a similar issue with a seller & I did get my item eventually, as he was away when the item sold & couldn't be bothered to let me know. I raised a dispute on Ebay.

What's the sellers feedback rating like? If its good, then I'd hang fire & hopefully you'll get a response

I wouldn't think so john, not everyone has the time to check these things an reply etc. really promptly, but you could be correct in worried etc.

I think eBay asks you to wait 14 days before escalating the problem.

In pretty much every single case I've seen, eBay will protect the buyer over the seller. If there is an issue, the seller would be stupid to not resolve it over 5 quid.

I also find eBay messages to not be made obvious to me at all, even as a web developer invested in UX. I've to go out of my way to see when I've a new unread message. I find this to be the most likely case.

Wait & hassle them till they cough up the goods. I won a set of MotoX boots for 99p and the guy got very stoppy, just kept hassling till he sent them. Winner.

Resolution means you just get your money back. if they didn't want to sell them, should have put a reserve on, or got a friend to bid them up !

You can get the sellers contact details http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/ebayadvsearch/?_sofindtype=9

and pay them a visit. I'd hold fire for a few days until they get over the shock.

She'll be down the fleshpots of Sarfend, exercising your fiver.
Get down there & find her - shouldn't be hard to do!
