More pain now than before

Awaiting appointment to have dressings removed - hopefully sometime next week

Probably because you're off certain meds Jon?

But as I found out, I got better, quicker at home. No one sleeps well in hospital, so its really poor for recovery.

Food & tea is always better at home.

Hope the pain subsides soon

Yep, no morphine this time

You're right about the rest too.

Cheers

** UPDATE **

Attended the fracture clinic today and had the multiple pressure dressings removed and replaced with a normal dressing over the steri-strips. Apparently the procedure went well despite an unexpected bleed that the surgeon said raised his blood pressure a bit as well as causing some "excitement" in the operating theatre!!

The bike has been written off as among other things it requires either a complete engine rebuild or a new engine and that isn't deemed financially viable. I've agreed a valuation with my insurance company so all I have to do is send off the V5 and for the first time in over 14 years I won't own a bike.

Well on the mend then, sounds like it's all progressing well!

So I have to ask...what's the next bike going to be? Another beemer?

On the positive side, winter is the best time to buy a bike as prices are generally lower.

Not sure what I'm going to do yet.

It will be several months before I know if there will be any permanent impairment to my shoulder or left arm which could decide for me if or what I ride in the future.

The other thing that has been playing on my mind is the look on the boys faces when they saw me lying in A & E - something I never want to see again or for them to have to experience.

So, we'll just have to see what the future brings.
