Default New Project

I'm gonna have a go at doing the GSXR front end conversion. But I am aware that there is the usual problem of the speedo drive. I have seen the Magnet way around this but IMO it looks pretty unsightly and a bit of an afterthought. Id like to try and put it somewhere hidden like the front sprocket. Anybody have any ideas how this could be done?

Oh and does anyone know what diameter the GSXR 1000 K4 forks are? I'd rather go down the race clip on route. Thanks.

All recent USD GSXR forks use 50mm clipons... With the magnet, yep, it's quite often a bit unsightly, partly because the sensor most folks have used is big. It's much easier to hide stuff like this on the rear wheel, on the inside of the swingarm- that's where mine is and it's only visible if you look through the wheel, and even then not too blatant. (well, that's a lie, it's cabletied on but if I'd actually bothered to fit it right it wouldn't be!)

The Veypor pickup is very small, that's why I chose it over the usual suspects, it's a bit more expensive (?40) but works well and it's easier to hide.

Ah the back wheel, I didnt think of that northy. I thought they were 50mm so cheers for clearing that up. Do you have a link to where to get the Veypor setup from? And it isnt the same company who makes these is it? As i'm looking at this too. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Trailtech-Vapo...QQcmdZViewItem

It's a different company from Trailtech, the UK distributors are here:

To be honest it's a ridiculous way to get a tiny hall effect sensor, but it still doesn't break the bank and it works, so I swallowed my pride
