Knocking noise
anyone able to shed any light on this one?
When pulling away in gear upto around 4000-4500 revs I get a bit of a knocking noise from the engine. Seems to be gear/clutch related, as it doesn't appear if you open the throttle in neutral. If you close the throttle or have it very skightly open, it doesn't happen. Above 4500 rev's it doesn't seem to be there. Any clue? Serviced a month or so back for 11k, now has 14k on the clock. It's a SK3 pointy. Cheers |

Have you measured the slack in the chain at all points?

Checked chain after work.
35-40mm, bit slack from the 20-30mm in the manual. That's doing 2000+ miles in two weeks I suppose. Will check the sprocket too. Thanks chaps! |
