Default SV650S import headlight

I have a 2002 sv650s import which has a left hand dip beam and right hand high beam. I wish to fit a uk head light to it for mot. Does anyone no if any mods to the wiring will be required? If there is could you tell me what.

I also have an import - when getting my MOT the guy adjusted it as far as possible (screw at rear of lights, inside dash) and put some tape over my headlight to cancel the offending side of the beam.

It does, that's why you remove it when you get out

I did the same to mine a few years back the standard (import) bulbs are either h1's or 3's (can't remember which) but in order to wireup the uk lights you will require two H4 bulb plugs, you can get these from places like car spare at about a pound each, then just extend all three wires to both plugs.

Cheers Mark.

No you can't (well not to both anyway), the import ones are one normal housing and one projector housing (this is the one that takes the H1 bulb) so you could only fit one H4 buld in them.

On the import version you have two wires going to the dip beam light (+(for dipped) & - ) and two for the projector (+(for main & - ).

you need to extend both the +'S and a single - to both the H4 plugs.

Cheers Mark.
