Read Pads sv650 K1 Naked
Hi,
Anybody know the rough price for a set of rear pads, also any tips and tricks on replacing and how would you rate the difficulty? Cheers. Martin |

I've been told fitting them's a piece of p...er... wee... but as I've not done mine yet (had the pads sitting around for ages in anticipation ) I couldn't say...
As for price... erm... Lost the link to this parts site someone else gave me a while back when I was looking for sprockets... sorry.. |

Pretty cheap... Think my last set were Ebay, £10 for a set of the low-end EBCs. Which are quite rubbish, to be fair, but that was what I was after.
Fitting them... Well, it's not hard, but the caliper pins can be seized, and if they are, then I'm lying and it actually is quite hard

Yeah about £10, and just as an idea, I did mine with a multi tool and spanner in about 5 minutes the other day.
Cheers Mark.

So a normal person will take 10 times that with a fully equipped workshop

If the pins are seized you'll need to do some careful drilling, but it's not rocket science. Just carefully mark up the other side of the caliper where the pins are (they are in blind holes, b'stards. Drill little holes so you can get a drift in and tap them out. You may need to drill the pins and fit R/split clips when you refit them if they try to drop through the calipers.

Or, you can often get a whole, un****ed caliper for under £20 from Ebay including decent pads
