Yes you get an electrolytic effect. You're not supposed to use copperslip on alloy parts with stainless steel bolts. I had some special antiseize spray that came in an aerosol and looked like grey paint. I think it came from MrFastner. Maybe that was graphite? I've not seen it since.

Molybdenum disulphide (in moly grease or powdered ) makes a good anti-seize as it is a solid lubricant that won't corrode or wash out.

Whenever I have to take wheels off car or do any work underneath I spray chain lube onto any nuts and bolts under there, also spray any exposed brake lines etc.

I do the same with chain lube. I sometimes spray a bit into a cup and brush it on, usually in places where I don't want splatter it all over the place.

Aluminium/stainless/copper is a pretty decent battery.

Aluminium anti-seize paste is better for aluminium applications, I use a Loctite stick version but others are available. For high temps with stainless there is a nickel based version.

Actually that supplier has a great variety of stuff, I've had a few special greases etc from them.

That looks pretty much like the MrFastner stuff but in a more solid form. Good find. Thanks

Recent version of Skype. WTF?

Just onto my folks, neither of us had a clue how we actually got both video screens showing at the same time, seems totally un-intuitive, just poke things until it shows something.

They do seem to have gone down the pan recently. Customer service is rubbish.

Double gripe. I have a horrible cold which has made me feel like crap for most of this week, achey and shivery. Can't go running or ride the bike for fear of making it worse, but need to keep working as I have clients waiting.

And now it looks like winter has come back to bite us all on the bum. Cold and grey with wet snow falling.

Spring can't come soon enough for me.

My gripe of the day was nearly getting crushed by an arctic this morning.
He changed lane to allow cars to join the dual carriageway. Shame as I was just coming up to him in the fast lane doing about 75 - he obviously didn't mirror, signal, manoeuver. Just did the manoeuver bit.
It didn't help that it was ****ing down so my visibility was slightly compromised. Yeah yeah I should have anticipated it using my Jedi powers, but....it was 6.30am and they weren't quite working due to lack of coffee.
It's always fun going down the outside by the crash barrier (no it REALLY isn't) as there was nowhere else left to go. Except under it, and I didn't really fancy that for a Friday morning. I'm out out tonight.
