Default Please help speedo drive

I have searched but cannot find the answer to my question.

I need a new speedo drive ( complete unit ) for my curvy, but i cant find one anywhere even fleabay dont have any listed.

So my questions are

Is the bandit 600/1200 one the same as i know you can swap the wheels about and it does look the same?

I am pretty sure i need the whole shebang because when taken apart the lugs where broken off the insert bit, but i stuck a mahoosive drill bit in the magnet part, put it inside the drive unit and spun it round. It didnt even move the speedo needle. So my question is am i talking utter sh*te or am i right enough.

Cheers in advance

If the lugs were broken that was probably the cause of the problem and is very common.Having said that,I have no idea what further damage you may have done by sticking a drill in it.

I hav'nt done any damage to it. I got a drill bit slightly bigger than the diameter off spacer thing with the lugs on it so i could spin it inside the drive unit to see if the whole unit was knackered
