Default Tarmac/Bike interfaces should be avoided at all cost...

After DT's post in the bike talks section about greasy roads and that, and with my own cautious nature in dodgy conditions (and after 1 drop on black ice) I've been down the road.

The bike has been remodelled, and hasn't come out for the best. Was 7:15am this morning, on my way to work, roundabout with a SHED load of diesel. The ambulance that turned up, and afterwards the police, both commented on how notorious the roundabout is, but they can't prove who has dropped the oil so there is nothing that can be done.

I'm fine, bruised right arm and that is all (Was just a lowside then a slide)

Anyway, this is a bit annoying, and may mean I'm off a bike for a while.

I hope you're not aching too much Dave. It's true, the roads are trecherous in some places at the moment.
Get the bike sorted slowly while the weather is poo for the next little while, then come back rejuvenated in the spring!

Only just seen this - glad you're not too banged up up mate.

Which roundabout was it ?

Any chance that someone else had an accident on the spill before you - if so you can claim against the local council for not putting a sign out.
