Default RS250: finally finished!!!

I started in september and Finished "Rs250" project on Xmas day... its 2002 with 3100 miles.

I stripped the bike down to the frame and engine, started major cosmetic work to the swinging arm, frame bodywork and exhausts. Most of what you see (tank, wheels seatplastics etc...) have all been rubbed down and painted, frame and swinging arm have been polished.

I can finally say that the bike is in an immaculate, better than 'new condition'!!!
I've been out a couple of times on it (bangor to holywood) its a complete weapon it would eat my SV especially on the track. It just keeps revving

Dry sunny days only.......

enjoy

Looks fantastic!

I bet it flickes into the corners effortlessly. You did a lovely job on it, well done. Its time to enjoy it now.

Beautiful!

Had great fun battling (and losing!) with one of these on a Snetterton trackday - they seem to be the definition of flickable!

thanks guys - yeah - the only problem is insurance..................my current insurer AXA (through carole nash) wont quote me on any Aprilia (rs250, mille, tuono) but are happy to insure me on any japanese bike - 2004 GSXR750 is £40 extra for the year, BMW 1150 GS extra £51 the best is YZF R-1 2000 model for an extra £86.

Seems like AXA dont like italian bikes, they wont insure on any ducati either. Forgot to ask about MV's!!!

typical insurance witchcraft, its still a total mystery to me

It makes sence to wait until june and when renewing my insurance go with another insurer.

Until then i'll have to polish her every sunday and go out on the SV
