I've taken a friend on the bike once who was pregnant. Didnt like doing it but it was the only way she could've got anywhere.

I wont take my pregnant wife on my bike at the moment.

I would happily take a child on the biek as long as they had all the proper kit. They probably bounce better than adults.

The blokes brother posted in the chat forum about it.

PErsonnally, no, I wouldn't allow any pregnent women on my bike, ever...... Before or after, sure, but during, no chance.

No.

I don't take pillions at all, let alone pregnant women or minors.

Jax has been on the back on my bike pregnant, and was riding her Duke up-to 6 months pregnant.

Well I would, as long as she was wearing decent gear and could hold on comfortably and safely. This would probably mean they could not ride after a certain size tummy.

But would I not take them cos they pregnant? What a load of tosh! Why should a woman be wrapped up in cotton wool just cos she's carrying a baby? It is up to the woman concerned what they do, within reason. Wilfully putting her baby at risk is a no-no, such as smoking, drugs, alchohol etc but there is no reason not to have fun.

Riding with pillion is a resposibility, but the decision to get on the bike is the pillion's.

Personally I would not feel comfortable with this level of risk. For some men this would be okay. The decision to ride or not is essentially the womans the same as if the woman is the rider.

I would never take maria on the back if I knew she was pregnant. Not ever, no way.

And I wouldnt take a pillion if they couldnt safely reach the footpegs, and reach round me to push on the tank under hard braking.

Saying that, the first time I rode pillion was when I was 10 on a GSXR750-WN (1992, big ol' thing, furious top-end power, fantastic noise). I was scared pooless, and closed my eyes most of the way.

But I couldnt stop smiling for a week

I think it is fine up to a certain point, I mean it totally depends on the term, on the trip, on the gear, on the rider. Its not ever black and white.
