Default rear shock question

Howdy

Stock SV1000 shock length is 329.5mm (as is a K1/K2 GSXR1000 shock) but the stroke on the GSXR unit is apparently 74mm, whereas the SV1000 shock is 69mm before the stopper? No idea - anyone able to confirm?

Seen a decent looking K1/L1 GSXR1000 aftermarket shock with remote reservoir that I wouldn't mind taking a punt on. Am I right in thinking it'll be a decent fit and ride? Spring is set for 85-100kg riders, which I'm smack in the middle of.

Actually, just found another forum that says the SV shock is 86mm. Even more confusing.

I've never owned an SV1000 although I did try and buy a new one in 2003. Apparently the question: Are you importing the naked SV1000 to California was too difficult for Suzuki to answer and I bought a Honda 919 instead. Anyway, enough prattle, I did find this which has measurements taken from the Ohlins catalogue for the GSXR (4th post down)

I have a couple of shock options for you. If you are interested in Penske shocks PM me.

I've got a stock shock somewhere I could measure but I guess it's too late?
