help with engine noise
I have a noise in my engine, as I let off the gas just a little to maintain a constant speed, such as forty. It sounds like a piece of the body rubbing against the frame or a back fire/engine knock and only starts after maintaining the speed for a while. I can lug the engine down and cannot feel a "miss" when the noise takes place. I changed the plugs and none seemed out of ordinary. any ideas?????

Re: help with engine noise
Chain adjustment ... maybe.
Had heard a few people having worn chain guide issues as well, so worth checking that out as well HTH Tel
