Tyre requirements on track days
Hi all just had good news that the mot has gone swimmingly but for a new rear tyre
 The mrs has got me a track day voucher to use this summer and the rear tyre has tons left everywhere but for the middle (mot says less than 1mm so fail) - I wondered if it was worth asking to keep it to swap on and off at the track as the shoulders / edges look near new! Lots of motorway commutes that I must start avoiding somehow. Will the low tread in the centre be an issue? Much rather use this tyre than a brand new one if poss.
