Re: Beat the credit crunch
It'll make it a right bugger to actually make progress if all the power rangers start using bikes for transport. Bad enough when it's a sunny day and a couple of people are going into leeds.

Re: Beat the credit crunch
I could just see the mayhem at a set of traffic lights, one poor car at the front surrounded by 200 bikes!!!!!

Re: Beat the credit crunch
I think that their figures are assuming that you have a bike instead of a car. I reckon that running both a car and a bike probably costs more than just having a car.

Re: Beat the credit crunch
I dont think it allows for the 1k per year you spend on kit either..
(I read that somewhere by the way, but going by my own accounts its not far off) |

I'd say I spend about £700-800 per year on the incidentals excluding the garage rebuild (which is effectively free bar labour, given the value added to my house). IMO you'd need to be crashing a lot/buying cheap kit that wears out fast, or going for really pricey stuff like halversons textiles AND custom one piece leathers and £400 carbon lids every 3 years to cover £1000 every year. |
