Friday 20th May
On 20th May 1965 British police were permitted to be armed with tear gas and grenades. This was mainly to curb drunken people and deranged cycle-taxi riders in Soho (I may have misread this article).
Anyhoo, I'll be popping along after work (about 19:30) as I have the weekend off  I may even bring some homemade flapjacks...if I remember to make them tomorrow  Jo |
