Default Oulton park 6th february Novice

I'm booked into this one:

http://www.motorsportvision.co.uk/tr...ProductID=4562

I've never done a track day before and I'll be doing it on my everyday k3 pointy with half worn avon storms and a scorpion street extreme.

It seems I dont have to mix it with the fast (not slow boys):

'You will not be on circuit with experienced riders so please don’t feel intimidated if this is your first trackday.'

Any tips, ridiculing, offers of company would be appreciated

Is this not a sessioned day? I know MSV sometimes do open pitlane days.

It does not say people are split into groups or how the day will work other than Circuit opens at 9am then the closing time etc.

I could be tempted if its an open pitlane day.

Ooh.
Theres me thinking I'd included everything
I have no idea about these things you mention.
There are booking slots for inter and fast so I'm assuming they must split the day up so as to keep ppl apart, no idea hows thats done just nice to be going

Reading this I think that it is a novice only day.
"The novice session on our trackdays is designed exclusively for those of you who have little or no trackday experience. You will not be on circuit with experienced riders so please don’t feel intimidated if this is your first trackday.

It is a common misconception that you need a high performance bike to take part. However the reality is quite the opposite – anyone can enjoy the thrill and excitement of a trackday and riding on a racetrack!

On all of our events, we will provide turning in and apex cones as an on circuit guide to help you master the correct lines effectively. We also allocate an exclusive question and answer session for all novice riders before you hit the track! A few limited speed laps behind a pace bike to familiarise yourself with the circuit and warm up your tyres and you’re ready to go!

If you need some further encouragement on the day then don’t worry - our instructors are on hand at all events ready to offer you advice in the pit lane and one to one tuition on circuit.

Oulton Park's diverse range of corners and straights is an ideal venue for any trackday novice.

Remember you don’t need a super-bike to take part and after a day on the track, I guarantee you will be back for more!

We look forward to seeing you here"

Is that a good thing or a bad thing for you first track day?

Yeah, oulton park is only about 40-50mins away, but weather is a real dependant factor.

I'll see what finances are like at the end of Jan unless its likely to book up at soon?
