Oh a dilemma
Guy`s & Gal`s
so i now have added a 2013 pointy in white with full fairing to my collection the dilemma i have given myself is which hugger to choose ....but worse than that what color. Should i go all color co-ordinated in white or stealthy blend-in with tyre black any opinions and pics would really be appreciated. Rick |

Re: Oh a dilemma
congratz on the bike
my personal view of huggers is that they look fugly, cost money and its something else to clean. the later pointy already has a flap to keep the muck off the shock. its the same with tail tidys.. its all marketing BS to part you with your cash making you think your bike looks better. but hey each to their own and all that. buy a mudguard extender for the front instead.. those do serve a purpose on the SV. yes i know i'm no help |

Re: Oh a dilemma
Have a pyramid hugger on my 2013 white, makes cleaning a damn sight easier despite what bibs believes as my chunky fingers struggle getting ****e out of the shock.

Re: Oh a dilemma
To add, also get a front extender as that much is gospel

Re: Oh a dilemma
I got a Puig carbon fibre finish hugger from Pyramid plastics for my AL7 and I think it improves the look of a naked bike, but not sure about a faired bike. As already pointed out a front fenda extenda is a good addition as is a radiator protector.
Will try to post photo.

Re: Oh a dilemma
Plain black pyramid hugger on my K6 bought off a chap on here, and a cheap stick on fender extender.
Bike came with tailtidy, a must for pretty much every bike these days, standard tail ends are FUGLY! |

Re: Oh a dilemma
Well i`m grateful for all opinions
i think i will fit one as mentioned as they do save a lot muck if caught out in rain if anyone has any pics of white or black ones fitted to a white bike i would love to see them i have a white one i fitted to my tl1000r which i think works well with the color scheme but not sure how it would look on a all white sv https://www.flickr.com/photos/134778...7631086609230/ |

Re: Oh a dilemma
a bit of perspective here.. a hugger is £100 a tail tidy is £70 = £170 which will buy you a set of proper springs, a set of emulators and oil for your forks. i know where my money would be spent.

Re: Oh a dilemma
Some of my riding currently would be more suited to an enduro bike, would need pretty special emulators
