Default AL7, 2017 smoking from radiator

Heavy rain the other day, usual commute through London - I got some real heavy white smoke (probably rain burning through the rad?) from the radiator and it absolutely stunk.

Got told several times "YOUR BIKES ON FIRE". It was pretty heavy rain, but nothing monsoon-ey.

Anyone had this?

Searched it, couldn't find anything on the AL7. Not much difference I suppose to the old style SVs.

Sadly no, I've noticed I definitely need a rear fender too, my **** and seat are literally filthy. Next on the shopping list.

they all do it.. its water evaporating off the rad due to the heat. looks worse during the winter months as its ermmm colder.

It's to balance out your visor so that you have steam on the inside and outside.

I'm considering a mudflap to the bottom of my fender extender it's a pig in anything heavier than drizzle

You could try a bit of astroturf inside the mudflap - cheap to buy a doormat made of it an cut some off

Mine does the same in heavy rain not a problem as above steam from the rain.

Harpic Max Power toilet cleaner, a quid from Tesco. Paint it on with a brush, leave for 5 minutes, rinse off & polish. Job's a good 'un.

Edited to add, it's this stuff: http://www.harpic.co.uk/products/toi...ners-original/
