My advice ... Dont get too embroiled in it .. It's a bitter pill to swallow but if GM wants her out then he will .. Today tomorrow or in a month . Her life will be hell he will make it horrendous and her health will suffer . I have been there . Took an employer to tribunal and won but it made me really ill for a long time and the time the stress and the result were not worth it .. Move on ... He (GM) will get his... Karma and all that .. Good luck
