Going orange limits to single or twin - unless it's an x-bow...

@Deltron, you bas&%"£! Get a good price? That's assuming that's one of those they were selling at a discount in the last few years due to not making them anymore? Only RC8R's these days...I nearly got one of those non-R's last year but I couldn't trust myself I would love to hear how you get on with it, supposedly they are very comfy for a super sports

Maybe I'll look into one again in another years time, that's unless the 1190 adventure or 1290 SD gets a hold of me first!

A Z1000 is most definitely going green, even if it's painted orange!

I got it for a very good price actually! I'll tell you how much when I see you

It's an 09, done under 3000 miles, owned from new and has a full Akrapovic titanium exhaust system and a tracker.

It's crazy that a bike has to have 170hp+ to be called a super bike these days!

So the verdict on the RC8

As soon as you get on it you can feel that it's an awesome bit of kit! The engine is an animal, the shift light came on at 72 in first and about 115 in second! Lovely throttle action, superb brakes, excellent riding position and very comfortable. The suspension is quite stiff (it's all fully adjustable though) but you can feel that the wheels are spending a lot more time in contact with the road than on the SV (it's pretty bumpy round here). The biggest revelation was the handling! It seems have an almost telepathic ability to corner, I was coming out of bends feeling like I'd hardly made any steering inputs.

The only downside so far is that the combination of a pointier fuel tank, stiffer suspension and bumpy roads led to a few ball bruising moments

Could you see yourself going touring on it? May sound like a silly question but some do it on gsxr's etc and I wondered if it feels do-able on it or not?

Plenty of people seem to tour on them. The guy I bought it from had done trips to France and Spain. I've only ridden it once so hard to say at this point but it felt like there was less weight on my wrists compared to the SV - you sit a bit more "in" the bike.
