'Rumble Rumble' to 'NNnneeooowwww...'
Picked up my new bike over the weekend! Went for the CBR600rr in the end, sorry Triumph! I'm loving every bit about her, it feels like two years ago when I bought the SV with a huge grin smacked on my face and frequently shouting "wooohooo"!! The transition from the twin to the four has been surprisingly easy, although I have been punished with a lack of power a couple of times for being in 5th as opposed to 2nd!
She's a 56 reg, 850miles (a couple of days ago), steering damper, rearsets, wavy discs, and pretty much show room condition Already ordered a digital gear indicator, rev light indicator, rear seat cowl, and I'm waiting to find my exhaust at a reasonable price (not £450) I'm going to keep the SV too, I don't have the heart to let her go! |

Re: 'Rumble Rumble' to 'NNnneeooowwww...'
The original owner was a woman who didn't have her license for the first 8 months of ownership. Apparently she just fell in love it; and when she passed her bike test it scared the hell out of her. I'm amazed how the dealer managed to convince her to slap on the extras taking into consideration her circumstances! But hey, I'm not complaining

Re: 'Rumble Rumble' to 'NNnneeooowwww...'
I've been looking through the owners manual, apparently the run in period is only 350miles??? Still doesn't sound right to me. Even though I've taken it just shy of the red line in 2nd, and it almost brought a tear to my eye (maybe I forgot to close my lid)

Re: 'Rumble Rumble' to 'NNnneeooowwww...'
Good choice
They have a shift light/ rev indicator light on them, its just above the rev counter on the right....lights up orange just before you hit the rev limiter and is supposed to be the optimum place to change gear. I fancy a gear indicator but they seem a ball ache to fit and you get used to it after abit. Its weird at first Vtwin to IL4 figuring out what gear you in lol Get an exhaust......so worth it, the standard can is sooo quite.
