Richa 'monsoon'. I've been out in mine in torrential rain, and they are as dry as a bone and snuggly warm
About £89 IIRC

Teknics Sprint if you can find 'em, they might be slightly above your price, they were £99 when I got mine. They were really decent, came with proper knox armour, and were as waterproof as anything I've ever owner that didn't have a goretex label on it. Then I destroyed them, but they still stood up OK, only a 40mph or so slide but they didn't hole anywhere, armour stayed in place, no stiches burst or even drew. Very good.

I'd go for HG as good as you can afford. I've got goretex (journey I think) got them on a good deal for around £129 IIRC. I wear them everyday without the lining as I usually wear jeans under them on my way to uni. Been out in -6 and not fell cold, and that's without the lining. Never been wet underneath either, and they've had their fair share of rain.

Goretex is the way of the wise really I love my goretex rukkas, I'm always slightly surprised when I don't get wet, but I never do. Shame they cost as much as a small car really

I've got the expensive Hein Gericke ones, which are just fabulous. The Spada stuff did really really well in the Ride tests - my friend has some and they've kept him dry through heavy rain, and they aren't too dear either. Well worth a look.

I got some £120 ones from HG, very pleased with them, never leaked and warm.,

You're best going to HG and J&S and trying a load on. They're all different sizes and fits so its impossibly to know without trying them on, especially if your not an average height.

A mate got some Frank Thomas ones which started to leak, but he took them back for an instant swap.

Why not get a cheap pair of padded water proof over trousers, and wear them over your jeans? I got a pair for £15 from an outdoor shop. They offer zero impact or abraision resistance, but they are really warm and you'll have your draggin jeans underneath for protection.
