Squeaky Brakes
Hi all
As the title says i have squeaky brakes and they are doing my nut in, what could cause it? Its the front and rear, the rear has been stripped and rebuild with new seals and pads. The fronts do not need replacing but i have cleaned them but both still squeak. Its so annoying. |

Re: Squeaky Brakes
Seconded. Cleaning can actually make it worse if your wash out all the grease.

Re: Squeaky Brakes
If the suggestions don't cure it, you can rough up the face of the pads with sandpaper. They can go shiny and cause squeaking. Standard practice when fitting new disks and pads too, in the many garages I have worked in. It takes the glaze off. Don't go made, just a light going over.
